The BIG Biodiversity Challenge is closed for submissions.
 

The BIG Biodiversity Challenge invited you to join the movement to protect and enhance biodiversity in the built environment.

Enter the 2022 Awards

 

1. Choose the relevant award categories relating to your biodiversity enhancements.

2. Complete the Submission Form.

3. Return the submission forms to bigawards@ciria.org at CIRIA. The submission deadline is now extended until 3.00pm 20 June 2022. A shortlist will be announced  following the judging process due to be completed in July 2022.

 

The BIG Biodiversity Challenge Award ceremony

The winners will be announced at the #BIGAwards ceremony on 14 September 2022. Full details will be announced in due course.

Categories and guidelines:

 

Please refer to the 2022 Award categories page for more information about this year's awards. Please note:

 

  • There are 8 award categories this year and each enhancement can be entered into two categories. 

  • Judges will select an overall winner for the enhancement that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to biodiversity.

  • The awards are free to enter.

  • In order to be eligible for the BIG Biodiversity Challenge 2022, your project must have been completed in the 24 months up to and including 10 June 2022. For eligibility criteria please refer to judging guidelines below. 

  • Download the awards judging guidelines. 

  • For the Biodiversity Legacy Award the programme should have been in place for at least 12 months up to and including 10 June 2022. 

 

Key dates:

  • 20 June 2022 - BIG Biodiversity Challenge 2022 closes for entries following an extension to the deadline.

  • 18 July 2022 - Awards shortlist announced following Judging days. 

  • 14 September 2022 - BIG Biodiversity Challenge Awards ceremony.
